Chippa United In Talks For Bidvest Wits Striker

A striker who could potentially replace Edward Manqele at Chippa United has been identified by the Port Elizabeth outfit.

Chippa could be set to part ways with Manqele at the expiry of his contract at the end of the season, as reported by the Siya crew.

The Siya crew has been informed that Bidvest Wits’ Thobani Mncwango has been identified as a potential signing for Chippa.

According to sources, Mncwango could be a replacement for Manqele in Chippa’s squad, with the Eastern Cape club looking serious about adding the former Polokwane City striker to coach Dan Malesela’s squad for the 2018/19 season.

“Chippa United is interested in Thobani Mncwango from Wits. The talks have been started and ongoing about a possible deal,” said the source.

According to the source, discussions about a potential swap deal involving Chippa and Wits for Mncwango and Mxolisi Macuphu have been started.

As reported by the Siya crew, Macuphu has been identified as a potential signing for coach Gavin Hunt at Wits for the new season.
